Arboretum
Park Description
- The Arboretum is located along the south edge of the main parking lot.
- This demonstration and research garden is maintained by the Colorado State University Extension Office.
- The Arboretum is a garden over 50,000 square feet utilized for demonstration and research of local ornamental grasses, shrubs and trees.
- This 'living library' is a space where plant lovers, school groups, and others can come to learn more about native Western Colorado and Eastern Utah plants.
- A walking path (wheelchair friendly) meanders through the gardens and leads to a small outdoor amphitheater.

Amphitheater
- The Arboretum includes a small amphitheater, which can seat up to 200 people.
- It can be used for environmental and educational programs.
