Mesa County Behavioral Health (MCBH) is committed to being a partner and leader in improving the well-being of people living with behavioral health issues. MCBH leads community initiatives in coordinating, advocating, planning, and supporting community stakeholders in activities to continually improve behavioral health services in Mesa County.

Mesa County Leadership, through the creation of this department is committed to leading change to improve services for our community with mental health, substance use, and social determinants health needs.

The essential duties of the Department of Behavioral Health are to support, develop, and monitor behavioral health services that:

  • Promote access and coordination of care
  • Increase stability for our most vulnerable
  • Increase early identification and connection
  • Promote community education and prevention services
  • Support community data collection and quality improvement

Mesa County Behavioral Health's MAC Team provides community case management to enhance collaboration among local hospitals, law enforcement, and the Mesa County Detention to support individuals who frequently cycle through crisis services.
