Mesa County is committed to spearheading change and improving services for those in our community dealing with mental health, substance use, and broader social health needs.

Grant for Mesa County Behavioral Health extended

During their June 18 public hearing, the Board of Mesa County Commissioners approved an amendment to delay the payout of a grant awarded to Mesa County Behavioral Health (MCBH) by the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) in 2023. The $4.5 million grant was awarded for use in the 2024-2025 Fiscal Years. The amendment comes after the BHA experienced delays in issuing the grant, prompting them to offer an extension of the original award through June 30, 2025.
