Learn about our policy and decision making body

The Grand Valley Regional Transportation Committee is the policy and decision making body of the Regional Transportation Planning Office.

The Grand Valley Regional Transportation Committee (GVRTC) approves the Regional Transportation Planning Office (RTPO) work program, adopts plans and programs prepared by the RTPO, and decides how certain transportation funds are spent. As the policy and decision making body of the RTPO, the GVRTC makes decision for:

  • Grand Valley Transit
  • Grand Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)
  • Grand Valley Transportation Planning Region (TPR)

Voting members include an elected representative from Mesa County, Grand Junction, Fruita, and Palisade.

All GVRTC meetings are open to the public and the community is encouraged to attend. GVRTC typically meets on the 4th Monday of the month and the board is governed by Bylaws. If you need alternative formats or other reasonable accommodations due to a disability, please contact our office five business days prior to the meeting.
