When do you need this permit?
Work will impact the surface of a Right-of-Way
It's required to obtain a permit if any of the following impact the surface of a Right-of-Way:
- Landscaping
- Sidewalks
- Curb
- Gutter
- Improving an existing driveway
Regulations and rules
- Please apply for the permit at least 15 working days prior to starting your project.
- You may be required to submit:
- Traffic Control Plan prepared by a certified Traffic Control Supervisor.
- Set of plans/drawings for your project.

Visit Mesa County Portal to begin the process.
- Start the application process by clicking on the “Sign Up” link at the top of the webpage.
- Fill out the required fields in the form and click on the “Register” button with your mouse at the bottom of the form.
- You will be taken to the online permit application form.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to complete your permit application.
