United Companies Arena
Facility Description
- The United Companies Arena is a great place to host your next equestrian or livestock event.
- A large open air arena gives users the comfort of getting away from the bright sunshine of Western Colorado while also being able to enjoy the scenery of both the Grand Mesa and the Colorado National Monument.
- A Show Office is located next to the arena for use during the event rental.
- The arena is located in close proximity to both the covered Livestock Pavilion and the Stable.
- 27,225 square feet (121 feet by 225 feet)
- We have two covered arenas with two associated warm-up arenas.
- These arenas can be used for two separate (small) events, or for one larger event.
- Open Riding is now available without reservations in the United Companies Arena.

Helmet Policy
- The Mesa County Fairgrounds does have a helmet policy for all riders age 17 and under.
- Due to the unpredictability in equine behavior, and a concern for the health and well-being of children, the Mesa County Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution MCM-2001-135 requiring the use of equine industry standard helmets or the signing of a notarized waiver of liability by the parent or guardian.
- This resolution applies to individual riders and boarders, as well as all organizers, and promoters of equine events.
Wash Racks
- Animals are to be washed only at wash racks.
- Washing of vehicles and/or trailers at wash racks is prohibited.
