Workforce Development Month showcases how workforce initiatives make a difference in Mesa County. The Mesa County Workforce Center (MCWFC) is celebrating with the following schedule of events culminating on Sept. 25th at the MCWFC Open House:

Tuesday, Sept. 10th: Fall 2024 Job Fair Prep Workshop
10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Mesa County Workforce Center

Thursday, Sept. 12th: School District 51 Workforce Development Day
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Grand Junction Convention Center

Tuesday, Sept. 17th: Fall 2024 Job Fair
1 to 4 p.m. at the Mesa County Workforce Center

Wednesday, Sept. 25th: Mesa County Workforce Center Open House
2 to 4 p.m. at the Mesa County Workforce Center

"The Mesa County Workforce Center is a vital community asset that helps build a skilled workforce and facilitates meaningful employment opportunities,” says Workforce Center Director Heather Nara. “Through a range of services including career counseling, skills training, job placement assistance and employer partnerships, we empower individuals to achieve their career goals and contribute to the economic vitality of our region.”

MCWFC offers a variety of programs to serve both job seekers and employers including eligibility-based programs designed to assist individuals with specific needs as well as open programs accessible to everyone in the community. Whether you're seeking employment, looking to advance your career or hiring new talent, we provide valuable resources and support. All are eligible for the no-cost services we offer such as workshops, job fairs, resume building, interview training, recruitment assistance, skills assessments, candidate testing and much more.
