On Feb. 20, 2024, the Mesa County Workforce Center (MCWFC) celebrated a 10-year anniversary event in their new building, 512 29 1/2 Road, to highlight its many services.

Over the last program year, MCWFC served 681 employers, posted over 11,000 jobs, and assisted more than 2,500 job seekers. Based on information from the 2023 Impact Report, other notable successes include 298 completed training and work-based learning programs and a $10,000 average wage increase after accessing staff-assisted services. For every dollar invested at the Workforce Center, $14.18 goes back into the local economy.

“The Mesa County Workforce Center is a pillar in our community as it connects businesses and potential employees,” says Mesa County Department of Human Services Executive Director Jill Calvert. “Our staff provide the support needed to move employers and employees forward.”

MCWFC will continue expanding its business relationships while developing successful career pipelines for individuals. We would like to commend our hardworking staff and thank our board, the community, and customers for seeing the value in all the MCWFC offers
