Announcement: COR400000 Renewal Applications are due January 2024

During Mar. 2024, no new certifications will be issued

COR400000 renewal applications are required for all construction stormwater permits and are due by Jan. 2, 2024. At this time, the division has received less than 10% of the total expected renewal applications. Permits without renewal applications will be terminated and may be subject to enforcement action.

CEOS Applications

The COR400000 Construction Stormwater General Permit will expire on March 31, 2024. All permittees must submit a renewal application at least 90 days before the expiration date and no later than January 2, 2024. Applications must be submitted via the Colorado Environmental Online Service (CEOS) system. The division will automatically terminate permits without submitted renewal applications on March 31, 2024, when the general permit expires. If a project needs a construction stormwater permit after March 31, 2024, and a renewal application has not been submitted, the project may be subject to enforcement action for not having a permit.

Permittees with projects that achieve final stabilization prior to April 1, 2024, must submit termination applications via CEOS to terminate permit coverage and do not need to submit a renewal application.

New permit applications under the current COR400000 permit will be accepted through February 29, 2024. Any new permit applications received on or after March 1, 2024, will be processed after the general permit is renewed in April 2024. No new certifications under the COR400000 will be issued in March 2024. Applicants are encouraged to plan ahead and apply for necessary certifications before this time.
