Road Improvement Project for Landfill Access Road Set to Begin in June 26

Beginning June 26, 2023, Mesa County and Sorter Construction, INC. will implement road improvements on the Landfill Access Road. The project consists of removing and relaying an area of asphalt pavement, providing concrete drain pans for drainage improvements, and creating a new gravel-surfaced parking area.
Project Schedule and Information
The project will be in operation Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Anticipated completion date is late July 2023.
Travel & Other Impacts
During construction, there may be temporary lane closures, reducing traffic to a single lane. Please note that these closures may result in up to 10-minute vehicle delays. However, it is important to highlight that the landfill will remain open during its regular hours throughout the project.
