Is your home at risk from wildfire? Do you know how to find out? You can find more answers to these questions in the upcoming 2023 Mesa County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). Mesa County is currently developing this plan in collaboration with SWCA Environmental Consultants.

The CWPP will teach you to plan, prepare, and protect yourself and your family from catastrophic wildfire. The CWPP and associated risk management actions will help our communities live safely in a fire-prone environment while preserving our favorite camping spots, fishing holes, hiking trails, and hunting grounds.

To inform our planning, we want to hear how wildfire has impacted you and what you think should be done. Please scan the QR code to take a short survey that will help us better understand how wildfire affects you.

The CWPP is designed to serve your needs, and we encourage your interest and engagement in the process. For more information, please contact Andrew Martsolf, Mesa County Emergency Services Director, at andrew.martsolf@mesacounty.us, or Arianna Porter, SWCA Project Manager, at arianna.porter@swca.com.

The CWPP will also be available for public review and comment in August.
