The E Road Phase 2B Mesa County Flood Reduction at Lewis Wash Bridge Project is on the horizon after the Mesa County Commissioners approved a $2,087,324 contract for construction at the Oct. 17 administrative public hearing.

The project aims to:

  • Widen the asphalt and shoulder
  • Update guardrails
  • Advance stormwater control
  • Improve irrigation control
  • Install utilities

Clifton Water District contributed funds to complete work in the area at the same time to decrease disturbance to the public.

The goal of the project is to replace the aging E Road Lewis Wash Bridge and enhance the entire E Road area surrounding it.
