Residents are invited to attend a public meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at the Loma Elementary School, 1360 13 Road in Loma, to learn about the upcoming Mesa County Loma Sidewalk Project. This community-driven session will offer a comprehensive look into the future sidewalk project to improve pedestrian mobility, especially in regard to enabling kids to walk to and from school.

Project Highlights

  • Create a detached sidewalk along the east side of Hwy 139 from Hwy 6 & 50 north to N Road. The new connection aligns with the Colorado Safe Routes to School Act and will emphasize safety and accessibility.
  • Updated sidewalks will provide ADA-compliant access to the Post Office and Country Store.

Mesa County is excited to bring these advancements to our community. As we continue to grow, it is essential to continually update and refine our infrastructure to meet the needs of residents. Residents attending the open house can view project plans, engage with project leaders, and provide valuable feedback.
