Much-needed road improvements will get underway on F Road in September
During this week's administrative public hearing, the Mesa County Commissioners gave the green light to approximately $2.8 million for the Patterson/F Rd Overlay 2023 project.
The project is a collaboration between Mesa County and the City of Grand Junction to improve the eastern section of Patterson (located within the City of Grand Junction) and F Road (situated in Mesa County).
Road improvements will stretch from the I-70 Business Loop (starting near the KFC) on the east side going west to the west property line of the old Rite Aid at 30 Road.
Included in the project are a full-width mill and 2-inch replacement of the road wear surface, reset of utility holes, water valves, and survey monument boxes, and new thermal pavement markings for turn lanes and new bike symbols within the City of Grand Junction's portion of the project.
The five-lane road featuring four travel lanes and one turn lane is one of Mesa County's most heavily-used roads, and we're ensuring it's up to the task!
Stay tuned for more updates as we work together to enhance our community's roadways!
