During the Dec. 5 administrative public hearing, the Board of Mesa County Commissioners approved a $273,160 contract for the 16 Road Guardrail Project to revitalize the roadway along 16 Road in Mesa County for approximately 550 linear feet of road.

The project will consist of removing and replacing the guardrail, striping, and replacing a traffic sign on 16 Road. Some significant items expected to occur throughout construction include embankment, unclassified excavation, replacement of base course and asphalt, addition of traffic signs and guardrails, and traffic control to keep the public safe and aware during the improvements.
