Update on Regional Transportation Planning Office
Today, during the Commissioners’ Nov. 12 public hearing, Dana Brosig, Director of the Regional Transportation Planning Office (RTPO), gave a department overview to raise public awareness of the department’s functions and update the board of commissioners on recent developments.
RTPO is a key organization that supports transportation planning in our region, providing essential technical and administrative support for:
- Grand Valley Transportation Planning Region (TPR)
- Grand Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)
- Grand Valley Transit (GVT)
Mesa County Commissioner Cody Davis currently serves as our regional representative on the Grand Valley Regional Transportation Committee, which oversees the RTPO.
The RTPO holds public meetings, typically on the fourth Monday of the month — and you are encouraged to get involved! These meetings are a great way to stay informed about transportation plans, voice your opinions, and help shape the future of transportation in Mesa County.
Public meeting schedules are available on our website at mesacounty.us.
