Mesa County is investing an estimated $249,900 to revamp the Long Family Memorial Park Skatepark at 3118 E ½ Road to bring a brand-new, state-of-the-art skatepark. We invite the community and skaters of all skill levels to be a part of the design process by contributing thoughts, ideas, and feedback through our online survey or by attending our in-person community input meeting at the Grand Mesa Shelter in Long’s Park on Monday, July 10, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

The vision for this improvement project goes beyond upgrades. Safety and engagement are at the forefront of our plans, ensuring that every flip, grind, and ollie can be executed in an environment that promotes fun and skill development.

The transformation is just around the corner, with construction and the removal of the current skatepark set to kick off in the late summer. Lace up your skate shoes, grab your boards, and get ready to experience the thrill of a lifetime in a skatepark designed with your dreams in mind. We anticipate completing the project by late fall 2023.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to leave your mark on the Long Family Memorial Park Skatepark. Share your ideas and opinions — take the survey by July 11, 2023. Together, we'll create a skatepark that caters to the needs and desires of the skating community.
