Consolidated Planning Grant Agreement Approved

At the Oct. 15 public hearing, the Mesa County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a grant agreement with the Colorado Department of Transportation for the $800,000 Consolidated Planning Grant for 2025.

This funding will support the Grand Valley Regional Transportation Committee and the Mesa County Regional Transportation Planning Office in continuing their federally mandated transportation planning for the Grand Junction/Mesa County Urbanized Area.

The grant helps the Grand Valley Regional Transportation Committee, the governing body for the Grand Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization, fulfill several federal planning responsibilities.

These funds will enable the Regional Transportation Planning Office to collaborate with the Colorado Department of Transportation and local governments on critical transportation projects throughout Mesa County.
