At Mesa County Elections, our commitment is to provide the highest election security and transparency standards.

It begins with our rigorous approach to safeguarding the voting process. Over the past year, we've significantly enhanced our security measures, installing state-of-the-art cameras and a key card access system. This vigilant security ensures our voting equipment and ballots are always protected, with strict protocols to ensure no individual is alone with the ballots or voting equipment.

In our quest to provide a seamless voting experience, we've upgraded our printers. Whether citizens vote in person or by mail, they'll find the process consistently smooth and straightforward.

We've further enhanced our election judges' training by listening to community feedback. We now invite citizens to observe the training process to achieve greater transparency. This provides an inside view of these judges' vital work and helps recruit new judges for future elections.

The heart of our election process is the community's involvement, especially when it comes to our election judges — they are our friends and neighbors. Working in bipartisan teams, they are the custodians of fairness and accuracy, ensuring every ballot is counted correctly. Their role is fundamental to the success of our elections, and their dedication and hard work are the backbone of our democratic process.

Our dedication doesn't end with the closing of the polls. Post-election, we meticulously review every ballot, removing any personal identifying information, and then take an extra step for transparency – we post the ballot images online. Any interested citizen can independently verify the count, reaffirming our commitment to openness.

Every step at Mesa County Elections is a stride toward deeper community involvement and trust in our electoral system. We are dedicated to conducting elections and nurturing the very foundation of our democracy through security, transparency, and the active participation of our community.
