We want to clarify a recent message and provide you with accurate information about our recent request for pet food. First and foremost, our shelter is not struggling to feed our animals. All our furry friends at the shelter are well-fed and cared for.

However, we temporarily ran out of the food we provide to members of the public who cannot afford pet food. This community support program allows individuals in need to fill a bag of food and make a small donation, typically between 25 cents and a dollar, to help sustain the program.

We apologize for any confusion caused by our previous message. Our goal is to ensure that everyone in our community can provide for their pets, even during tough times.

How you can help your neighbors

  • Donate Pet Food: Help us restock our community pet food pantry.
  • Monetary Donations: Your financial contributions go directly towards purchasing more food for this program.
  • Spread the Word: Let your friends and neighbors know about this program and how they can contribute.

You can drop off dog or cat food donations at our office at 971A Coffman Road. Our drop-off hours are:

  • Monday through Friday: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

By supporting our community pet food program, you are helping your neighbors and ensuring that pets throughout our community are well cared for. Together, we can continue to provide this vital service and keep pets with their families where they belong.

The response to our request for assistance has been tremendous, and we greatly appreciate the generous community support. We now have more than enough food to sustain this program and support the animals in need in this community. Thank you!

Animal lovers and community members, Mesa County Animal Services (MCAS) desperately needs dog and cat food donations to care for our furry friends in the shelter. Our shelves are running low, and we need your support to ensure every animal is well-fed and cared for.

Every bag of dog or cat food donated goes directly to feeding the many animals that come through our doors. These animals often come from difficult situations and rely on us and compassionate community members like you for their well-being. Your donation helps us ensure no dog or cat goes hungry and keeps them healthy and ready for adoption.

You can drop off dog or cat food donations at our office at 971A Coffman Road. Our drop-off hours are:

  • Monday through Friday: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Whether it’s a small or large bag, every donation makes a significant difference. Our dedicated staff and the animals at MCAS sincerely appreciate any support you can provide.
