Mesa County and the town of De Beque gathered on July 27 to break ground and officially commence the construction of the long-awaited De Beque Community Hall, 305 E. Fourth St. The event was met with enthusiasm from community leaders and community members eager to witness the positive impact this new space will bring to the area.

The project aims to create a dynamic and vibrant hub for various activities, fostering stronger community ties and promoting unity among De Beque residents.

"We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who join us for the groundbreaking event," said Mesa County Commissioner Bobbie Daniel. "The commencement of this project marks the realization of a promise made over forty years ago to the voters in Mesa County, and it fills us with great excitement to see it finally come to fruition."

The De Beque Community Hall will be a 7,400-square-foot versatile space, accommodating a wide range of activities and events tailored to the needs and interests of the residents. Whether it's gatherings, educational programs, social events, or recreational activities, the hall will serve as a central venue, fostering connections and creating shared experiences for De Beque residents.

As construction begins, updates and progress reports will be shared to keep the community engaged and involved in this transformative project.
