Today at the Aug. 15 administrative public hearing, the Mesa County Commissioners sent a letter to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service regarding the proposed Regulations for Listing and Designating Critical Habitat.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed amendments to regulations that implement section 4 of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 concerning the procedures and criteria used for listing, reclassifying, and delisting species on the Lists of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants and designating critical habitat.
